*My Husband Spends All His Free Time Trading Crypto Instead of Helping at Home* When my husband first got into crypto, I thought it was just a hobby. Something he’d tinker with in the evenings, maybe make a little money on the side. But it’s become his whole life. The moment he gets home from work, he sits down at the computer. Weekends? He’s glued to his phone, watching charts, muttering about candles and resistance levels. Meanwhile, I’m the one cooking, cleaning, running after the kids, making sure bills get paid. I’ve tried to be patient. I know marriage means supporting each other’s passions. But when “passion” turns into obsession, what’s left for the family? Last week, after a brutal day at my own job, I came home to find the house a mess. Dishes piled up, toys scattered everywhere, laundry untouched. He was in the office, headset on, eyes locked on the screen, mumbling, “If this breaks resistance, I’m in big profit.” I stood there, holding a bag of groceries, feeling invisible. “Can you please help me for once?” I snapped. Without looking up, he said, “One second, babe. This is important.” Important. That word broke me. Apparently, imaginary coins were more important than me or our kids. The breaking point came two nights ago. I was scrubbing the kitchen floor at 10 p.m. while he sat on the couch, refreshing charts on his phone. I asked him to take out the trash. **My Husband Spends All His Free Time Trading Crypto Instead of Helping at Home**

When my husband first got into crypto, I thought it was just a hobby.

He was in the office, headset on, eyes locked on the screen, mumbling, “If this breaks resistance, I’m in big profit.”

I stood there, holding a bag of groceries, feeling invisible.

“Can you please help me for once?” I snapped.

Without looking up, he said, “One second, babe. This is important.”

Important. That word broke me. Apparently, imaginary coins were more important than me or our kids.

The breaking point came two nights ago. I was scrubbing the kitchen floor at 10 p.m. while he sat on the couch, refreshing charts on his phone. I asked him to take out the trash. He sighed, eyes still on the screen, and muttered, “You just don’t understand how stressful this is. I’m trying to secure our future.”

Something in me snapped. “No,” I said, slamming the mop down. “You’re trying to escape the present. Our kids are growing up without you. I’m living like a single parent while you play stockbroker with Monopoly money.”

He finally looked up, defensive. “Do you want me to quit? Do you want us to stay broke forever?”

I stared at him, exhausted. “I’d rather be broke with a husband who’s present than rich with a stranger in my house.”

That night, I slept in the guest room.

The next morning, I told him calmly: “If you can’t step away from the screen and step into this marriage, I’m done. I refuse to raise kids with someone who values charts more than family.”

He looked stunned, but I meant every word.

Because here’s the truth: investments can rise and fall. Money comes and goes. But if you gamble away your marriage while chasing profits, you’ve already lost the most valuable thing you’ll ever have.
